Perceptor was a little difficult to get into headspace for. How can you care if you don't have any emotions? It boiled down to what I imagined their sparks were like and how they affected the bot in question.

You have it right in one! Command positions are rarely filled with caring or properly receptive individuals. Perhaps that is why we consider them to have unsavoury positions.
