Day 13
When Bluestreak had first taken on the task of rehabilitating a seeker stripped down to base coding, he’d wondered why they hadn’t just offlined the poor mechs in the first place. Core coding was that, the most basic and predictable coding. The seekers had had their entire memory banks copied and purged, so that the Autobots could reintroduce specific concepts and information in a controlled environment.
Bluestreak didn’t agree with the method, but he couldn’t deny that having another mech to take care of didn’t sound kind of enticing. Especially when at the initial meeting of compatibility Thundercracker had lain across his lap and purred while Bluestreak pet the larger Seeker’s wings.
Language hadn’t been introduced, so Thundercracker clicked to him in binary. Trilling softly when his attention wandered away from the detailing he was doing.
“Hey, want to go out to the desert today? Get a little flying in before we go back to see Ratchet?”
The wiggly mass that toppled him over was answer enough. Bluestreak was reminded of the human dog that had come over, the one Spike had called Rascal. Thundercracker was acting so much like the organic animal it was uncanny.
Picking himself up, he beckoned. Laughing as Thundercracker shot out the door and waited, whining, until Bluestreak followed.
