Minor Damage
Steeljaw was fairly sure that none of what was currently strewn around Blaster’s room was supposed to be there, in any way, shape or form.
The custom sized foam pillows had been shredded, pieces strewn everywhere. Their meager supply of unbroken toys now broken and the larger pile of already broken toys looked to have been rolled around in. Electronics, plastic, cloth, metal shards, hell even a spring from the beat up couch was hanging from the ceiling, one of its sharp ends embedded into the orange painted metal. The lazy bounce spoke of its position being a recent happening, but Steeljaw did NOT want to know how it had gotten up there.
Okay, maybe he did, a little.
He heard Ramhorn bellowing, curses flying left and right as he tried to remove his head from the box it was currently stuck in. Steeljaw personally didn’t think that it would happen anytime soon the way he was going about it, and the fact that neither of them had opposable thumbs probably just added to the frustration.
Rewind… right. Steeljaw had to look away and compose himself lest he break out in uncontrollable giggles.
Rewind and Eject were – Frag he couldn’t do this! Steeljaw burst out laughing, his deep voice rolling through the room in waves. The twins glared at him and even Ramhorn had stopped bellowing to try and figure out why Steeljaw was laughing but really, there was nothing that could stop his laughing right now.
Laughing until he rolled on the ground, legs in the air and whole body shaking.
“It ain’t that funny Steelie.” Rewind looked petulant, his embarrassment overriding any reaction he might have had to his older brother’s uncharacteristic display on the floor.
“Nah, it’s better! You three do realize I have blackmail material now for the rest of the vorn, right?” Steeljaw was back on his feet, still chuffing, his chest heaving as his systems tried to draw in enough air to cool them.
“No harm, no foul! We’re still in bounds, just changed the rules a little bit.” Eject had his arms crossed, or he would have had his arms crossed if he’d had both of them free. Really it was just one arm folded over his chest, the other still attached to the Twister mat that they were… reclining on.
“Sure sure, then why don’t you tell me how the pillows were torn to pieces, why Ramhorn over there is doing an impression of a bulldozer and why you two thought it would be a good idea to play Twister AFTER painting the mat with Wheeljack’s industrial strength glue.” Steeljaw picked his way over, giving Eject a shove with one paw.
Ramhorn started grumbing, shaking his head in another attempt to knock the box off, and the twins looked at each other again. Eject gave a one shoulder shrug, too entangled on the mat with his twin to do much more, and Rewind looked cautiously around before answering.
“Um, it seemed like a good idea at the time?”
Steeljaw just shook his head, a smile firmly in place as he activated his comm link.
“Blaster, you’ll want to pick up some of Wheeljack’s glue dissolver on your way back,” He looked around again, “and you might just start calming down now, before you see anything.”
On the other end of the link he heard Blaster groan. “What happened this time!?”
“Let’s just say that your favorite idiots have done some minor damage to the living space.”
“I don’t have a room anymore do I.”
Steeljaw lay down, watching Eject and Rewind try to untangle themselves without ripping the Twister mat. “I’m fairly sure that there is a good half a pillow still in good repair.”
“Goddamn it!”
